How to Style a Tunic Dress

Hey guys! I am so excited it is finally warming up (it hit 72 degrees today!), and with that warmer weather comes so many cute tunics and dresses! But sometimes they are just a tad too short. So today, I am showing you my go-to look for how to style a tunic dress.

This lovely tunic dress from UOI Online boutique is everything you would hope for- a lovely ivory color, pretty crotchet lace details on the sleeves, and a flowing bohemian vibe. I was in love the moment I laid eyes on it! Since I like to keep my dresses to my knees or longer, this was just a tad too short. But I wouldn’t let that stop me! This is a common occurrence with spring dresses and tunics, so my go to fix is to add leather detailed leggings.  Most people will just throw on regular black leggings, but we aren’t aiming for average are we?? The addition of leather has a few purposes. One, it adds a new texture to the outfit, creating more visual interest. And two, it is intentional.  Everyone can put on black leggings. But this shows more purpose and like you actually thought about how to style a tunic dress, not just throwing leggings on out of necessity.  And if you think you can’t pull of leather leggings- you’re wrong! Style is confidence people. You buy those leather leggings and you rock ’em! If full blown leather leggings seem too much too fast, start out with some paneled ones, like I have on below. They are a good transition piece while you play around with your fashion taste!
