Humane Society of Utah
I was so excited to be invited to help spread the word about adopting a pet instead of buying new this Christmas! The Humane Society of Utah (and any pet shelter, really) wants to help these adorable animals find their forever homes! So, this Christmas, if you are looking to surprise a family member or friend with a furry pal, head to your local shelter first! You won’t be just giving your friend a present, but also giving the pet you choose the best present of all- a new family. All I know is that my puppy brings my so much happiness every day! I think dogs are just the best- I wish I could have brought all the puppies home with me!
BUT- The Humane Society of Utah has lots of types of pets to adopt- not just cats and dogs! They also have rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and some reptiles! I even saw a sign about a class for Hedgehog owners! So no matter what type of critter you are looking for, stop by the Humane Society of Utah first.
While I was at the shelter, I was able to meet cute Anubis! Isn’t that a fun name?? Anubis is a 7 year old Pit Bull – but don’t let that scare you! The Humane Society has has Anubis for several weeks, and report that she is a sweet girl, and from the short time I was able to play with her, I can vouch for that! Anubis is already house trained, good with kids & other dogs (but not a fan of cats). She’s an active girl looking for an active home that can keep up. And since she’s been a longer term resident, she is really needing her new home!
