Today I thought I would share with you one of my favorite trends for summer- Embroidered tops! Embroidery is nothing new- people have been stitching beautiful designs onto clothes for thousands of years! But I think that’s one of the reasons that makes embroidered tops so popular; Every culture has some kind of tie back to embroidery!
My favorite type of embroidered top for summer is a loose peasant-type shirt with bright colors and fun patterns. When I first saw this top, it was love at first stitch… *cheesy*. But really. It has everything you could ever want! And the breathable fabric is perfect in this ridiculous summer heat! Anyone else having 104+ degree days??
Because this top already has so much going on, I didn’t add a big, chunky necklace like I usually do. This shirt doesn’t need it! Instead, I have on a dainty gold bar necklace from Forever 21. I did, however, throw on a stack of bracelets! I have a combination of stretch bracelets and beaded tassel bracelets (tassels have been one of my favorite jewelry trends this summer as well)! Talk about an arm party! I’m wearing some reflective blue aviators (only $5 from Walmart!), I can’t buy expensive sunglasses- I ALWAYS break them. So cheap, five dollar glasses are my go to! These blue ones pull out the lovely colors in the stitching! As for my hair…. I’ve been practicing this chunky dutch french braid… It’s not perfect, but I’m proud of how much better the braid looks compared to my first attempt… haha! It’s so nice to have my hair off my face in this heat!
