Poncho Season

One of the many, many reasons that fall is my favorite season is all the incredibly soft sweaters that come out. Of all of these sweaters, ponchos are my favorite because you are practically wearing a blanket and getting away with it (another reason I love blanket scarves as well). Ponchos are just so dang cozy!

How to Wear a Poncho

I found this poncho at TJ Maxx last year, but I have seen them at almost every store these days. It is a light cream/grey with a very subtle bubble pattern (is that what you would call that..? haha I don’t even know).  I paired it with a lightweight striped turtleneck underneath, some black leggings, brown OTK boots, and my favorite leopard clutch for my go-to pattern mixing (See how else I styled it here and here!). Wearing the turtleneck underneath helps to bring a little pop of color right by your face and break up all of the poncho that is going on. Plus layers are always cute! And let me tell you- I. WAS. COMFORTABLE.  But still looking fab- my favorite kind of outfit!
