Our Wedding: SLC Temple & Bungalow Reception Center

Our Wedding Day

I am FINALLY posting our wedding day photos! Guys- our wedding day was amazing. It was literally perfect. I was able to marry my best friend in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity, and then celebrated with so many of our friends and family that evening at the Bungalow reception center. And really, nothing, the entire day, went wrong! It was our perfect day!

Jill Collier was a photographer and she captured the whole day beautifully! I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from throughout the day. Like I mentioned before, we were married inside the Salt Lake City LDS temple, and afterwards we went to The Bungalow Reception Center in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Also, #sorrynotsorry for the photo overload. Believe it or not, I cut out tons of photos. I just couldn’t resist adding all of these!

Our Wedding Reception:

Bungalow Reception Center

My whole life I wanted a back yard, garden type wedding- but my parents yard was way too small to throw a reception. So I scoured the internet and asked all my friends if they knew of any great places. I had a few people recommend The Bungalow, and I am so glad they did! I had never heard of/been to the Bungalow Reception Center until I started researching different wedding venues in Utah. And I have NO IDEA why! It was exactly what I was looking for, plus some! They literally had live doves in cages outside!

The Bungalow wedding reception center is stunning! It has a french provincial feel to it, with the prettiest outdoor garden and waterfall, and an adorable cottage for extra seating and greeting if the weather doesn’t cooperate. They are a family owned business and they treated me and Cory and our families so great. They took care of every little detail, from decor to food, setting up and taking down, so we could just enjoy our wonderful day together without stressing over a thing! And to top it all off, they are extremely competitive in their pricing compared to other venues with what they offer!

For a lot of the furniture and decor at my reception, I used the cutest event rental service, The Mint Julep. They had so many cute things that gave my reception such a special feeling to it. I loved every little detail they put in.

So, if you are in Utah and are getting married, or getting married in the future, do yourself a favor and check out The Bungalow. It really is Utah’s best kept secret when it comes to wedding reception centers and venues! Tell them I sent you, and I bet they hook you up!

Best. Day. Ever.

One of my favorite moments from the night was having my “daddy daughter dance” (did you see how cute my daddy is??). I also loved having so many of my past roommates/old friends come and say hi. There were also surprise fireworks at the end of the night! (thanks Pleasant Grove city for having a carnival with fireworks that night haha).

It really was such a magical day- I wish I could have paused time to soak it all in a little longer! I can’t believe how fast it flew by. Thanks for letting me share my special day with you all!
